Dr. Mortensen is from Fillmore, Utah. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Southern Utah University, he was accepted into the USU/WSU veterinary program. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in May 2020 Dr. Mortensen started his veterinary career at a mixed animal practice in St. George, Utah and joined Color Country Animal Hospital in September 2024. He enjoys small animal medicine and surgery as well as equine work. In his off time, Dr. Mortensen is raising his family and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and many other outdoor activities.
